It is the responsibility of the Quality Supervisor to understand and implement the principles of our Companys product and service quality assurance program, quality evaluation and control

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with staff, customers, and suppliers daily to help resolve quality issues while providing ways to improve the Company's quality efforts.
• Maintain ISO certification for Schroeder Industries LLC.
• Recommend improvements to increase the quality of our products.
• Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
• Support concurrent Engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
• Participate in the documentation and implementation of methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
• Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports with the guidance of the Quality Manager.
• Assist in process certification; participate in internal and external quality audits, serving as lead ISO management representative to the ISO Auditor.
• Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
• Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
• Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming material to Purchasing and provide technical knowledge to assist their efforts in obtaining credit from suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
• Minimum of five (5) years QA / QC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, quality system techniques/methodologies, common statistical tools, leadership principles and quality engineering practices are essential.
• Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP software, spreadsheet, and word processing software. SAP experience is a plus.
• Possesses knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of Continuous Improvement including 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen
• Willingness to travel domestically when required
