What You'll Do:

Serta Simmons, the leading provider of sleep solutions, is seeking a qualified Production Supervisor to join our esteemed team at our Cullman, Alabama plant.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing processes within our facility, ensuring the seamless production of high-quality products in accordance with our stringent standards.

How You'll Do It:

  • Leads cell/department activities and associates to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and safe production of quality products, playing a pivotal role in driving plant-wide change.

  • Identifies and resolves daily production challenges to uphold schedules and prevent recurrence, fostering a proactive work environment.

  • Acts as a liaison between associates and management, providing support during transitions and changes.

  • Collaborates in the development and enforcement of standardized work procedures for direct reports, adhering to leadership guidelines.

  • Conducts audits or assigns audit tasks across key areas such as quality, safety, and scrap management.

  • Facilitates daily cell meetings, establishing clear expectations for daily tasks and objectives.

  • Monitors production progress hourly, addressing bottlenecks promptly and implementing corrective actions to achieve daily targets.

  • Supervises continuous flow and materials delivery systems, working with associates to enhance processes continually.

  • Cultivates associates' skills and capabilities, contributing to their professional development and organizational bench strength.

  • Reviews production schedules, estimating associate hours required for job assignments accurately.

  • Interprets specifications and job orders, delegating responsibilities to associates accordingly.

  • Proposes measures and modifications to enhance production efficiency, equipment functionality, product quality, and working conditions.

  • Initiates and advocates for safety measures and protocols, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Possessing 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a Lean manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track record in a supervisory capacity.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business needs.
