Copeland Accounting Manager in Cudahy, Wisconsin

AS AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Manage local general ledger through the monthly close process and account reconciliations; prepare, review & analyze monthly financial documents and maintain all accounting processes and ensures compliance to US GAAP. Reviewing and approving Appropriation Requests to acquire large capital investments.

  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and policies in accordance with corporate policies, US GAAP and local requirements.

  • Lead a team of Accounting professionals, including mentoring, coaching and development, and performance management.

  • Engage in day-to-day job costing and Contract Accounting (i.e. Percentage of Completion/POC), inventory-related issues, and other accounting matters such as Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Account Reconciliation, etc.

  • Collaborate with Sr. FP&A Analyst in the development and maintenance of plant department budgets and monthly and annual financial forecasts. Analyze and report on operational results against forecasts.

  • Collaborate with Sr. FP&A Analyst in the preparation of reports and documents which summarize and/or detail company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and budget performance, and earnings. Direct the preparation of departmental budgets.

  • Protect the assets of the company via involvement in the development of internal controls, the taking of physical inventories, and involvement in other related financial functions.

  • Participate in department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed. Engage with technical teams and other resources working on Oracle and process improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

You effectively communicate in various settings - one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels - including communicating financial results. You efficiently combine department workflows to build a more cohesive work environment.

SCHEDULE:

The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of increasingly dynamic Accounting and financial management experience, at least 4 of which included leading teams.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP Principles

  • Demonstrate Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong communication skills with multiple levels and audiences.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Master’s Degree

  • External or Internal Audit Experience

  • CPA and/or CMA certification(s)

  • Progressive experience in cost accounting, specially Long-Term Project Accounting

  • Experience using Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management/HFM
