Position Summary:
Snap-on in Crystal Lake is seeking a Senior Coordinator in our Assembly department to analyze available inventory, procure inventory shortages, and release production orders on a timely basis. 1st shift hours are 5:30am-2:00pm. You must be able to work mandatory overtime as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Analyze set order component availability and shortages determining which sets can be built.
- Release production orders
- Expedite procurement of backordered products of set order shortages.
- Research and relay set assembly production questions. Involves looking into receipts and visual stock checks.
- Stock checks, special counts and packaging reconciliation and adjustments.
- Quality Assurance investigation and reconciliation.
- Process weekly set assembly backorder report.
- Contact Supply Chain to have inventory placed on order and expedited as needed.
- Develop daily production schedules for the Set Assembly department.
- Schedule/assign orders based on priorities
- Distribute work as directed by the Set Assembly department supervisor.
- Update and review Production Results database
- Work closely with other departments (Item Master/Finance/Supply Web, etc.)
- Set up/maintain Bills of Material
- Purchase Packaging
- Keep supervisor informed of significant developments
- Train others as needed
Qualifications
- Position requires the equivalent of related training equal to 2 years of college or a 2-year technical degree. A college degree B.A./B.S. in an analytical field is preferred.
- Three to five years\' on-the-job experience in a warehousing / production environment.
- Sound knowledge of distribution center /production operations, including product knowledge.
- Strong and sound working knowledge of LN, preferred knowledge at a certified trainers level
- Sound working knowledge of Supply Web
- Sound working knowledge of personal computers, and the Microsoft office package.
- Requires excellent interpersonal, analytical and oral/written communication skills.
- Excellent ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
