Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee

Job Description

We are seeking candidates for our production team, which hosts a variety of opportunities including machine operating, grinder operating, quality control, material handling, CNC, and more. Our product, pressed carbon, is unique and most candidates won't have experience with it. The pressed carbon acts as a seal, coupling, washer, etc., and is insulated, not transferring heat.

Since we like to promote from within, most candidates will start as a Machine Operator in our Carbon Pressing Department. You will operate a machine that takes powder carbon and presses it into small rings or operate a grinding machine to grind pieces to the proper size after quality checks. You will be taught how to do offsets on the machines to ensure parts are produced to spec, visually inspect the rings for imperfections, and stack them neatly into a bucket. The bucket will then be moved into a furnace where the rings solidify for 5 days. You will also operate lapper machines and monitor the progress. This role can be repetitive and may get boring for someone used to operating multiple machines at a time.

Work Environment

OPENINGS: 2nd: 3pm-11pm M-F

The environment can be dirty due to the carbon-based rings and can get hot depending on the weather.

The company provides uniforms and a daily laundry service for $2 a week, ensuring clean uniforms every day.
