Responsibilities

  • Description Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, working with the publications, graphics, and editing team. The person shall be furnished a workspace and a government computer for management purposes and must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and maintain eligibility for a government computer account on the Air Force Network (AFNET) and/or the Joint Service Provider Network (JSP).

  • Telework may be available depending on the specific assignment and must be approved by the Program Manager/Contract.

  • Secret Clearance required.

  • What You'll Do:

  • Utilize specialized software packages within the Adobe Creative Suite to create and/or collaborate on visual products, including diagrams, branding, publications, illustrations, and infographics.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Convey messages and understanding to targeted stakeholders through developed graphics, photos, videos, and animations.

  • Offer digital photography or videography services for events.

  • Edit videos and serve as the local expert in both video pre-production and post-production.

  • Create digital three-dimensional models and animations.

  • Demonstrate advanced techniques on how to edit, design, manage, and archive digital imaging, video productions, and interactive multimedia files.

  • Research, storyboard and prepare visual material for executive level and academic presentations.

  • Prepare sketches and preliminary layouts to convey proposed presentations.

  • Prepare academic material, provided by DSCU faculty, in video form according to DOD instructions and guidelines, including 508 compliance.

  • Create new art or adapt existing material to help convey thought and meet stakeholder or student needs.

  • Determine format and color treatment, considering the vehicle of presentation, time available, and methods of production.

  • Demonstrate the ability to apply concepts, templates, and design and layout techniques of video software and production (such as Adobe Premiere Pro).

  • Manage current and historical files for the visual material production effort, including accurate electronic file management and archives.

  • Awareness of emerging technologies for immersive interactive media.

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of DOD regulations and instructions regarding visual information, especially DoDI 5040.07.

  • Take and edit photographs and videos of people and material on location or within a studio setting to be featured in various materials including the DSCU webpages and social media sites.

  • DINFOS training preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or higher degree), or 10 years related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum four years of experience in visual information and video production.

  • DINFOS training preferred.

  • Other Requirements:
