What you’ll do:
To oversee the daily operations of the Crewkerne facility, ensuring that it operates safely and effectively.
Managing a cross functional team, the key responsibility of this role is to ensure that products are manufactured and delivered in line with the specified delivery, quality and cost targets.
Develops operational and strategic plans for all manufacturing activities within the site to meet business targets, milestones and key performance indictors
Prioritises production schedules based on product introduction, available capacity, equipment efficiency and material supply
Executes workforce planning requirements to ensure the products are manufactured and delivered in accordance with the master production schedule
Co-ordinates activities relating to the management of infrastructure and day to day running of the site
Plans, monitors and adheres to budgets, controlling capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor costs.
Project manages non-development programmes, NPI transitions and special projects
Applies, maintains and improves lean manufacturing principles
Ensures compliance with company procedures and qquality requirements
Aligns any legacy processes and procedures to the latest Eaton standard
Takes a leading role in the preparation and completion of internal, customer and regulatory audits
Ensures Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards are monitored and maintained
Identifies and drives improvement initiative to reduce costs and improve on time delivery, working closely with other Eaton sites to share best practice and develop synergies.
Applies standard change control procedures and provides leadership in order to engage the team in continuously improving their performance.
Executes company HR policy in line with authorisation levels
Manages team absence and annual leave, identifying training needs and plans
Leads or actively participates in recruitment and integration of new team members
,Manages, coaches and develops team members, using the Personal Development Reviews to evaluate performance
Qualifications:
- Academic studies to BSc/HNC/ HND level. or equivalent experience
Skills:
Proven experience in manufacturing or related roles
Composites, manufacturing and engineering background
Understanding of aerospace and defence regulations
Advanced levels of business acumen and leadership experience
Advanced knowledge in the skills, tools, techniques, disciplines and processes of Manufacturing Management
Strong knowledge and practitioner of Lean and improvement techniques
Experienced user of MRP/ERP systems
Excellent communicator with a proven ability to be able to establish strong working relationships across functional departments/sites
