Granville Health System Primary Care Physician in Creedmoor, North Carolina

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Creedmoor, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments. Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions. Perform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education. Manage common illnesses and injuries, and coordinate care for more complex cases. Provide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Community Engagement: Foster relationships with patients and their families, understanding and addressing their unique needs. Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs. Build trust within the community and advocate for the healthcare needs of the population. Collaboration and Coordination: Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staff. Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed. Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care and consultation. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Manage administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and billing, as required. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines. Emergency Care: Provide emergency medical care for urgent health issues when necessary. Be prepared to handle a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting. Professional Development: Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements. Participate in professional organizations and conferences relevant to primary care. # Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Licensure: Valid medical license in NC or eligibility for licensure. Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in a rural or underserved setting is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologies. Working Conditions: Environment: Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) Physical Requirements: The ability to perform medical procedures and lift/pull patients as needed.
