Taco Comfort Solutions, a 100 year old, third generation family-owned global company based in Cranston, RI, is looking for a Software Engineer for Mobile App Development to join their team.

The Software Engineer - Mobile App Development is responsible for providing full life cycle support of newly developed and current applications. They will analyze user needs to develop new software applications.

Measures of success:

• Develop the requirements document for new products

• Develop new applications

• Maintain current applications

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designs, develops, and implements innovative and easy to use mobile applications.

• Maintains and enhances existing mobile applications.

• Tests, troubleshoots, and debugs mobile applications and application components, including user interface, communication stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.), and Cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design, deliver and validate enhancements and new applications that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.

• Develops an optimized design that satisfies business requirements and desired specifications.

• Researches, evaluates, and implements new technology to improve application development process, reliability, and usability.

• Maintains records to document test logs and application development and revisions.

The Software Engineer - Mobile App Development will work primarily in an office environment. At times, there may be exposure to warehouse or lab settings where safety equipment or personal protective gear is required.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required:

• S/B.A in Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years’ experience in application development or a related field.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented

• Strong project management skills

Preferred:

• 3+ years’ experience in Mobile application development

• Agile development experience
