Your Day-to-Day:

This position will be responsible for developing and managing a Should Cost team that will create and implement a costing program for large, complex AP1000, AP300 and eVinci structures and equipment The individual will take direction from Senior Manager: Category Management for AP1000, eVinci, & AP300 and will identify and utilize any internal Westinghouse engineering and manufacturing expert resources plus 3rd party contributors to develop the overall Should Costing program. Outputs from the program will be used as data points for key negotiations with suppliers to drive down cost for materials, labor and other fabrication considerations. Strong relationship skills are required to manage organizational needs, project timelines, and resource management to provide timely and innovative solutions to meet business objectives.

Responsible for recruiting, building, training and managing a team to create and maintain a Should Costing program to meet organizational goals resulting in most effective and efficient Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for large, complex project equipment and structures. Support equipment and structure category strategies by providing costing data points used in playbook negotiations which will lead to business awards tied to Long Term Agreements (LTA). Responsible for creating and executing a Should Costing program which will assist in the delivery of annual business results that deliver value and meet cost targets supporting organizational and project goals. Maintain extensive Should Costing knowledge by researching and tracking industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity. Develop a productive working relationship with cross functional groups: Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement Identify, secure and manage 3rd party suppliers as needed to develop the overall Should Costing Program.

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering) Minimum 7 years of procurement or procurement engineering experience (preferably within industries with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects) AP1000 experience with large structural modules a plus. Past Should Costing experience a plus. Strong Benchmarking, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate highly effective teams to drive operational excellence. Ability to push for daily continuous improvement in standard work, talent development, and risk mitigation to meet or exceed organizational goals. Must be creative and have strong problem-solving skills along with time-management, prioritizing, planning and self-direction skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project
