Reporting to the Manager of Network Services, theSupervisor - Network Engineeringwill be responsible for supervising the Network Engineering team. This is a working supervisor role that that involves assisting in both operational and tactical aspects of the Network, project commitments, resources assignments and some technical hands-on work as well. The Network Engineering team plays a pivotal role in the deployment and maintenance of Westinghouse's business network infrastructure. Our expertise includes standing up new locations, conducting lifecycle management tasks, and ensuring the seamless operation of installations. Additionally, we use monitoring service queues to promptly address and resolve any emerging issues, upholding the network's integrity and performance.
Your Day To Day
Supervising our global Network Engineering team covering the implementation, support and development of the network.
Performing quarterly reviews of your direct reports.
This is a working supervisor role, there will be hands on aside from supervisor responsibilities
Managing small to medium sized projects and acting is a key stakeholder for larger projects
Responsible for management of the Network Services operational queues
Ensuring appropriate escalation and response to priority incidents
Diagnosing and resolving complex issues, providing the engineers second level support
Assisting in the operational maintenance and support of the network circuits. Performing disconnects and/or ordering circuits.
Support network monitoring capabilities
Identify opportunities for and facilitate implementation of network automation
Ensure network service teams documentation are up to date and assist the teams in coaching or documenting where needed
Ensure redundancy and disaster recovery configurations are in place, coaching the team where needed
Perform any other related duties prioritized by the Network Services Manager.
Lifecycle and asset management
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering or related Information Technology
High level expertise or subject matter expert in SDWAN and routing
Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization
Demonstrated success in leading large, global network communications teams
High level of understanding in the network, telecom and firewall fields
Experience in project managing small to mid sized projects
Experience delivering highly complex, global programs and projects
Open to travel once or twice a year for projects or team building sessions
7+ years' experience hands on support and troubleshooting of networks
3+ years' experience successfully leading geographically diverse technical teams
Proficient in Cisco routers and switches, Arista switches and Cloud Vision Portal, Nexus switches, Python, SolarWinds network configuration manager (NCM), Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager, Cisco Prime/DNA, Cisco/Arista Wireless, Cisco SDWAN
