This role will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and the benefits team to optimize our benefit programs. The role will report to the Senior Director, Total Rewards to support the organization's total rewards strategy and ensuring that employees in the region receive competitive and meaningful benefit packages. By effectively managing benefit programs and staying up to date with regulatory changes, they will contribute to the overall employee engagement of our workforce. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong innovation and analytics skills, a deep knowledge of benefits and pension programs, project management skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Your day to day

Define retirement strategy for US defined contribution plans and defined benefits plans, as well as global retirement plans. Implement projects for US retirement plans (cost saving initiatives, benchmarking projects, and RFPs). You lead and coordinate special projects, like plan closures/freezes, M&A activities in the region, supporting due diligence and acquisitions as well as integrations and divestments. Develop and manage the annual budgeting process for benefits and retirement area, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable benefit programs. Oversee plan administration and IRS/DOL compliance activities (governance, union negotiations, gov't. filings, premium payments, etc.). Lead and coordinate regional benefits & pension governance activities and policies related management and oversee relevant committees in close alignment with local and global stakeholders. Manage relationships with benefits vendors, including actuaries, attorneys, brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators. Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure that service levels and cost targets are met. You keep up to date with local and regional legislation and regulations related to employee benefits, ensuring all programs are compliant. Collaborate with Retirement Team to develop communications, programs, and trainings to deliver to employees to foster engagement and retirement readiness. Lead the team of Benefits & Retirement professionals across the Americas, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, and on mentoring and coaching your team members effectively, partner with EMEA and APAC leaders for local and regional retirement programs.

Who you are

BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus. 10+ years of Benefits/Retirement (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plan) experience CEBS or ASPPA designation preferred Extensive experience in benefits and pension management, preferably in a multinational organization with exposure to NA, EMEA, APAC region-specific benefits In-depth knowledge of North America benefits regulations and market practices Strong project management and vendor management skills Knowledge of ERISA/IRS regulations regarding US retirement plans Strong leadership, an analytical and data-driven mindset strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Well-developed communication skills, creativity, and independence Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word.
