Available Shifts:

Monday to Friday, 8 Hour Shift, Evening and Weekends as needed

Compensation:

• Paying 28.60/hr

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring all warehouse systems and machines are operational by performing and overseeing maintenance duties, including preventative maintenance functions. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum two years’ experience in a warehouse environment and/or certification in industrial mechanics through an accredited institution.

• Valid driver license, as some travel within a 5-mile radius throughout the campus may be required.

• Strong computer skills (Minimum above average ability in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Access desired).

• Must meet the eligibility requirements as listed in the Pactiv Job Posting Policy.

• Must successfully obtain and maintain valid Safety Certifications, such as being Lock Out Tag Out Authorized, during employment.

Skills/Abilities

• This job requires the ability to use power tools; manufacturing equipment; personal protection equipment (PPE); fine manipulation; office equipment; typing/keyboarding/data entry; and computer/calculator.

• Powered industrial equipment certification and ability to operate man lift and scissor lift.

• Must demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude,

• Basic math skills and working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company procedures.

• Basic Microsoft skills (outlook, power point, word, etc.).

• Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced Warehouse/Logistics environment.

• Ability to work within a team and build good relationships.

• Ability to handle equipment and products safely and sensibly.

Essential Job Duties

• Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, mechanical equipment, and physical structures. Handles scheduled and emergency repairs.

• Demonstrates ability to start up plant (generator, air compressor, cooling tower, and chiller), normal warehouse shutdown, and emergency warehouse shut down.

• Maintains working knowledge and demonstrated high level of troubleshooting skills of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Displays proficiency in electrical problem solving.

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Displays competency in the proper operation of maintenance equipment (lathe, mill, welder, drill press, power tools).

• Possesses and maintains required hand tools necessary for job.

• Utilizes computer based inventory system for generating reports to locating spare parts.

• Functions with a high degree of autonomy, requiring minimal supervision.

• Maintains records and time reports as required.

• Performs quality work within reasonable time standards set forth by management in verbal or written instructions.

• Assists electricians, mechanics, and contractors as needed.

• Manage on-site vendors and vendor relationships.

• May assist in the training of other employees.

• Maintains a safe, clean work environment while performing all tasks.

• Utilizes mandatory safety equipment. Executes duties in a safe and efficient manner.

• Participation in continuous improvement team and activities.

• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Will be exposed to hot temperatures during summer months and cold temperatures during the winter months.

• There may be some exposure to dust inside warehouse, exposure to machine noises.

• Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

• Frequent: Sitting, kneel/crawl/bend: stair climbing, carrying: 0-40 lbs for 5-10 feet, out-reaching, standing, walking

• Occasional: Stoop/Squat, Ladder/Steps Climbing, Bend/Twist

• Repetitive Use of: Wrist, Hands, Fingers, Shoulder, Elbow, Hip, Ankles, Head, Neck.
