Overview

CHI Health Clinic is actively seeking a full-time OB/GYN to join our established practice in Council Bluffs , Iowa . Based at the Valley View Clinic and CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital , this is an exciting opportunity to join an established, robust practice.

Details of the position:

  • Busy practice with existing patient panel available

  • Growing team of 2 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers

  • Call 1:6+ Average of 21-24 patient visits per day, per provider

  • Average of 10 Deliveries per month, per provider

  • In-office Ultrasound, NST, and Colposcopy available

  • LEEP is available inpatient only

  • Provide full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology care for women of all ages

  • EPIC

  • Integrated clinic model partnering closely with primary care, diabetic education, psych, physical therapy, and pharmacy

  • Works closely with women’s subspecialties Maternal Fetal Medicine and Urogynecology

  • Available opportunities for outreach in Southwest Iowa

  • Involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education

  • Opportunity for Academic Appointment with Creighton University

Requirements of the position:

  • Must be BE/BC in Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Ability to obtain an Iowa and Nebraska License

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Foster an environment of collaboration, teamwork and respect

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care:

  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Provide clear and concise medical information.

  • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

  • Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.

  • Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.

  • Perform procedures as needed

  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

  • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.

  • Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

  • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.

  • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.

  • Compliance:

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

  • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

  • Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.

  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.

  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty

  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible

Pay Range

$139.42 - $157.21 /hour
