Blue River Services is looking for a motivated individual to join our team of dedicated employees who work to make change in the community.

This position works with a team of Employment Consultants (and other agency staff) to develop employment opportunities and to coordinate with local employers the hiring, training, and necessary on-going supports for individuals with disabilities to maintain community employment. An Employment Consultant assists and supports individuals with disabilities in developing positive relationships with co-workers and establishing supports outside of the human service system. As part of a team, this position focuses on job development and job training for that team.Partner with Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) and support the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in identifying eligible applicants, sharing information about VRS, facilitating the VRS application process with students. Participate in planning of transition/career fairs at participating schools. Job Development, market and provide on the job support to participants and employers

Requirements

High school diploma from accredited school or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred (not required) in rehabilitation, social work, special education, public relations or closely related discipline.

One year experience in related services or sales

Training will be provided.
