Minimum/Required Qualifications Minimum/Required Qualifications for all ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor): PhD in Ocean or Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Oceanography, or closely related discipline. Record of high-impact scholarly work, commensurate with experience, in the area of nearshore or coastal-ocean computational modeling with potential to build an externally funded research program. Position Duties 50% Teaching and related duties Delivers four (quarter-long) courses each year in support of the CCE undergraduate and graduate curricula. 40% Research and scholarly activities Research includes the development and leadership of a funded research program that is significant and visible. 10% Service A balance of institutional and professional service is expected. Institutional service includes participation in school committees, faculty meetings, and outreach activities, as well as in college and university committees.
