SUNY Cortland Adjunct Lecturer - Communication Disorders & Sciences in Cortland, New York

Position Summary:

The department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Clinical supervision of graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in on- and off-campus practicum. Clinical experiences include screenings, diagnostics, and therapy.

  • Demonstrate a broad range of clinical experiences across the lifespan.

  • Assessment and intervention experiences should include the following: AAC , autism, voice, fluency, aphasia, adult communication disorders, early childhood and school-age speech and language disorders.

  • Demonstrate strong clinical writing skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills with students, clients, families, colleagues and other professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology or its equivalent.

  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s ( ASHA ) Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC ) in speech-language pathology.

  • New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Three years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.

  • At least 2 CEUs in Supervision prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical supervisory experience

  • Evidence of a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment.
