KBR Principal Specialist, HSSE in Corpus Christi, Texas

Title:

Principal Specialist, HSSE

Verifies implementation of the project health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for the employee and contractors. Creates incident reports and performs inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE. Interacts with services personnel, clients, contractors, and subcontractors ensure compliance with project expectations. Organizes audits of project work sites controlled by the contractors. Keeps informed of regulatory requirements and project auditing standards. Assists in development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics. Under general direction, executes the daily HSSE activities assigned by the HSSE Manager. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. Interacts with contractor, subcontractor, and team members to intervene and coach whenever unsafe acts are observed. Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field work activities to ensure task completion complies with HSE policies, procedures, and project strategy. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 7+ years of experience.

Required - BCSP Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification or NCCER Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST)
