Job Description

* Monitor the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards or applicable codes.

* Review and monitor Contractor Site Quality Plan.

* Interpret design drawings and specifications.

* Implement established procedures for inspection activities.

* Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers' installation of material and equipment for quality compliance.

* Monitor the receipt of concrete trucks. Ensure the appropriate mix design is being utilized. Ensure the proper slump is being utilized per the mix design. Monitor that all procedures are being followed by contractors when installing concrete.

* Review Inspection Test Plans (ITP's) per project specifications and enforce adherence.

* Oversee a QA/QC processes, procedures, testing, and inspections for self-perform and contractor construction work.

* Management of site CR/NCN processes

Skills and Requirements

* 7+ years of inspection/QA experience

* Previous practical experience on $500M+ projects, preferably with experience on both "owner" and "contractor" side

* AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification (CWI)

* Beneficial certifications include ACI / API

* Monitoring contractors on concrete, structural steel, and piping

* Piping/welding background

* Spot inspections, documentation, and reporting

* Industry background: oil and gas, petrochemical, heavy industrial

* Monitoring contractors' scope of work -- assuring that what they are completing are following specs/requirements
