Job Title: Fabrication Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician with strong fabrication abilities. You will be responsible for building the body of units using tools such as torches, bandsaws, and grinders. The role involves operating and maintaining basic power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, and ensuring accurate measurements using a T-square and other tools. You will designate and facilitate projects, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with management to ensure smooth production processes.
Responsibilities
Build the body of units using tools such as torches, bandsaws, and grinders.
Operate and maintain basic power tools including grinders, drills, saws, magnet drills, band saws, and forklifts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
Use a T-square and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of fabricated components.
Designate and facilitate projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Identify and correct errors or inefficiencies in work processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop safety protocols.
Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and address any production challenges.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated ability to perform MIG welding with clean, strong welds on various materials and thicknesses.
Proficiency in fabrication, MIG, TIG, and stick welding, including structural welding.
Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel, 5G, 6G, and pipe welding.
Skilled in using basic power tools such as angle grinders, drills, magnet drills, plasma cutters, and band saws.
Certified or experienced in operating forklifts for material handling.
Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficient with measurement tools including T-squares and tape measures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in planning, organizing, and executing fabrication projects.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues in fabrication or workflow and implement effective solutions.
Effective time management skills with a strong sense of urgency to keep projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
Clear verbal and interpersonal communication skills to coordinate with team members and report to management.
Knowledge of shop safety practices and commitment to enforcing them.

Work Environment
You will work in a typical manufacturing garage shop, which is large with plenty of space to complete tasks. Expect noise from power tools and collaboration with about six other workers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Corona, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
