Purpose of Position:

This role will provide technical support of Corning Gorilla® Glass (GG) products for its customers:

  • Assist account managers with technical aspects of customer relationships

  • Provide the customer technical interface between GG and assigned customers

  • Represent the customer perspective on GG internal projects

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist account managers with technical aspects of customer relationship:

  • Write external product specifications for GG products.

  • Gain specification agreement with customers buying GG products

  • Organize internal response to product quality disagreements with customers and represent the outcome to the customer. Provide the customer technical interface between GG and assigned customers:

  • Act as point of contact for customers’ technical information requests.

  • Provide technical assistance to the customers’ manufacturing and sales operations.

  • Prepare and maintain (and present as required internally and externally) technical and product related training presentations to assist customers.

  • Identify new product and application opportunities for Corning products (GG or others) at customers or otherwise in the field and report them back internally for assessment and development. Represent the customer perspective on GG internal projects:

  • Represent department and customers on internal projects

  • Assume added leadership roles on internal projects as necessary

  • Provide training as required (inside and outside the department) for assigned areas of technical specialty

  • Correct internal resource participation to resolve customer complaints.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.

  • Advanced degree or 1-3 years of relevant experience in technical role. (preferred)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work and built rapport with cross-functional teams

Expected travel: Varies (20% typical), including international

The range for this position is $75,194.00 - $103,392.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
