Job Description

Key Responsibilities

This role will support Clinical Enabling Capital Project Business for Clinical manufacturing in Cork and support the Technical Services New Product Introduction Team on activities associated with clinical product instruction to site including project management and technical transfer activity.

The role will support the design and delivery of capital projects associated with clinical manufacturing enabling in Cork. This role will provide the strategic interface between the capital project execution team and the clinical manufacturing business unit to ensure the execution of the projects are aligned to the strategic vision and timelines for clinical manufacturing enabling in Cork.

Core responsibility to ensure the planning and execution of the clinical manufacturing enabling projects are aligned to the strategic vision and timelines for project including:

  • Responsible to ensure the capital project strategy and scope is aligned to the needs of the business.

  • Provide supervision of technical activities associated with the project including project documentation creation and execution [e.g. URS] and project task execution [e.g. FAT]

  • Ensure all element of the capital enabling projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.

  • Managing relationships between capital project team, receiving business unit and external parties such as formulation process development [FPD]

  • Coordinate project updates to senior management where needed.

The role will also support New Product Introduction to site including project management and technical transfer activity including:

  • Leads a Matrixed team of personnel, organizing and executing project activities to ensure successful introduction of he product to the site

  • Managing complex processes across functions and interacts effectively with the other team members to ensure product meets regulatory, performance, and cost requirements.

  • Leads technical investigations and assessment of deviations.

  • Manages budget for project releated activities.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, industry

  • practices, and standards (i.e. SUPAC, PACPAC).

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to interact with senior management.

  • Demonstrates ability to participate in highly effective teams.

  • Demonstrates ability to think critically and creatively, be able to work independently, and to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills

  • Extensive experience with BS/MS or PhD degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
