Senior Staff Engineer - Additive

18 month assignment initially.

We are looking to hire a Additive SME to join driven, growing team at Stryker’s Anngrove facility, in a fast-paced environment where engineering fundamentals and excellence matters.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide clear functional and technical goals for the implementation of additive manufacturing technologies to support Stryker’s Personalized Solutions and Component Solutions Business.

  • Responsible for Milestone delivery throughout the lifecycle of the chosen solution.

  • Leads advanced troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process.

  • Provides a platform of knowledge on Additively Manufactured Materials, such as Metals and Polymers, by providing relevant training and direction for junior team members.

  • Additive photocurable process development and scale to production release.

  • Additive polymer knowledge experience distinct advantage.

  • Provide input to digital requirement generation, scoping & planning activities.

  • Invents/ creates concepts and designs and submits idea disclosures.

  • Works cooperatively with, senior technical leaders, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure programme success.

  • Can work independently to plan and schedule own activities as necessary to meet programme deliverables.

What you need:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or applicable technical field

  • At least 6 years of experience applicable to medical device design or equivalent

  • Skills relevant to the role: mechanical design, CAD, statistics/data analysis, materials/mechanical testing, communication of technical information via written reports and verbal presentations

  • Experience of DFAM Methodologies essential.

  • Automation experience desirable.

  • Digital Transformation desirable

  • Ability to work successfully in a collaborative, team-based environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Travel (sometimes international) up to 10%
