Job Description

We are currently hiring for an experienced HR Manager, to be part of our Ireland Human Resources team leading Human Resources for our manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland. An exciting time to join the team as the site is undergoing expansion to add new technology and sterile cleanroom facilities. It’s a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility set to develop further following a recent €60 million investment. Reporting directly to the Country HR Director, you will leverage best-in-class HR practices to continually construct, deliver, and support programs that establish AbbVie as an employer of choice while empowering all employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Develop and deliver HR strategies, programs, and services that align with the needs of the respective business.

  • Partner with the Site Leadership Team to shape a culture of high employee engagement, performance, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Coach business leaders on HR practices to enhance talent pipeline development, retention, and increase organizational effectiveness.

  • Utilize data analysis and survey results to generate insights around talent, culture, and engagement.

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement HR programs that support the People Strategy and Organizational Goals, including organizational effectiveness and change management.

  • Provide guidance and counseling to managers and employees on employee relations, discipline, and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and work closely with Legal counsel on situations that pose a litigation risk or other liability.

  • Collaborate with HR Operations and business leaders to ensure appropriate employee documentation, changes to employee status, pay and benefits, annual performance review process, employee relations investigations, discipline, and terminations to maintain compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and their organizations at AbbVie Cork.

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies, programs, and services that drive business needs.

  • Focus on shaping a culture of high employee engagement, performance, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Provide guidance and support to enhance talent pipeline development, organisational effectiveness, and foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork.

Qualifications

So, what education & experience do you need for this role?

  • A relevant degree in Human Resources Management or a relevant area.

  • Ideally you will have 4-6 years Business HR experience and experience of one other HR specialisation.

  • You will combine a passion for people with a strong business acumen and enjoy working in a fast paced and often demanding organization which rewards strong performance.
