Insight Global Panel Builder in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Job Description

As a panel builder, your daily duties and responsibilities include:

*Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures

*Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures

*Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards

*Point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation

*Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions

*Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication

*Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion

*Communicate effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers, and the Project Manager

*Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Skills and Requirements

  • HS Diploma/ GED

  • General knowledge of electrical circuits, components, and electrical theory/ terminology

  • Ability to read schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and design schematics for electrical control panels/ layout drawings

  • Ability to understand basic electrical troubleshooting as it relates to testing circuit functionality and identifying potential problems

  • Able to work with hand and power tools like drill saws

Valid drivers license - Technical Certification, Associates, or BA

  • UL 508A certification

  • ETL Panel Builder Program

  • Experience using soldering irons to piece together cables, wires, and other components or experience using a grinder and/or buffing wheel null
