Job Title: Equipment Operator Level 1

Job Status: Seasonal

Job Summary: The Equipment Operator Level 1 is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, compactors, skid steers, snow blowers and other pieces of equipment. The Equipment Operator Level 1 must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures. The Equipment Operator Level 1 must deal with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and levels and quality of service. The Equipment Operator Level 1 must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.

Basic Requirements: - Minimum 1 year experience with basic knowledge in operating front end loaders, skid steers, and other equipment. - Must be willing to obtain a Class B CDL License. - Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. - Must have a valid US Driver's License - This position may require the use of a motor vehicle and the employee is subject to comply with the Driver's Standards of Copper Mountain - High School degree or equivalent - Rapid reaction to physical changes (operating equipment) - Peripheral, color, and depth vision - Extreme cold - Must be at least 18 years old
