Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing all functions of the facility clinical equipment management program in order to meet the stated mission, vision and values of the North Texas Division of HCA.

  • It is expected that the Manager will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department's processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care and service.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ logistics, materials or equipment experience.

EDUCATION:

  • College graduate preferred.

  • Technical school diploma with courses in Electronic/Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent training.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Required licenses, certificates)

  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives in your designated areas.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.

  • General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles.

  • General knowledge of building and system maintenance, including internal and external components.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals relative to preventive maintenance, ordering replacement parts and making repairs.

  • Reading comprehension necessary to interpret specifications for installations and maintenance of the equipment and related systems.

  • Ability to verbally communicate with fellow employees and co-workers.

  • Ability to perform individually as well as with a team.

  • Skill in planning, organizing, and supervising.

  • Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.

  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with peers, fellow staff and laundry personnel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

  • Ability to counsel/discipline personnel as required or as may become necessary.

  • Ability to delegate authority, responsibility to other staff personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties.
