AIG Key Account Manager / Sr. Underwriter / Underwriter (Accident & Health) in Copenhagen, Denmark

Underwriting

AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. How you will create an impact

This is an intriguing position in a dynamic environment where you will be part of a brilliant Nordic underwriting team consisting of 30 colleagues across the Nordics. The role will cover responsibility for all size of commercial clients from SME facilities to multinational accounts covering insurance products within business travel, accident, expatriate, group personal accident, and other people insurance products.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Responsible for your own portfolio of multinational clients, securing account handling, underwriting, renewal, and technical assistance through collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Achieve financial goals by meeting growth and profitability objectives set for the department.

  • Develop, support, and execute on business strategies to reach team goals.

  • Review, analyse, and develop new products, terms and conditions, as well as monitor portfolio performance.

  • Collaboration with brokers to drive profitable growth and sales in partnership with our Distribution team.

  • Identify and develop best practices and procedures to help us work smarter individually and as a team.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, international environment, eager to deliver on both individual and team goals.

In addition, we believe you have:

  • High level of professional English and speak a Nordic Language.

  • Experience with key account management and some years of experience working with insurance.

  • Knowledge of Underwriting concepts and procedures is considered an advantage.

  • Experience working with insurance brokers.

  • Analytical and quantitative skills, enjoy communication, and feel confident in negotiations and influencing others.

  • Must be well-organized and structured and have the ability to work independently as to own your own book of business.

  • Your educational background is not important, but we believe you will benefit from having studied finance, business administration or that you have received formal education within the insurance industry.

You do not need to be an experienced salesperson, but we believe you know the principles behind maintaining and farming the field.
