ROPU MIDI is a Regional Operating Unit that covers all local Human Pharma and Animal Health Operating Units across Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, and The Netherlands. At the Operating Unit Animal Health (AH) Nordics, steered out of Copenhagen, we are dedicated to deliver health to animals in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to drive and develop our Nordic national sales plans and achieve the budgeted turnover for our strong product portfolio.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for designing and executing a winning sales strategy, leading and nurturing the high-performing Nordic sales team, and fostering collaboration within the business unit to achieve optimal commercial results. Your leadership will be fueled by passion and purpose, aligning your team with our company’s values and vision; to provide more health and improve lives of animals.

You will lead a team of 8 team employees across three countries in the Nordics (Denmark, Norway and Sweden). With the goal of achieving double-digit million Euros in annual sales, this role offers excellent exposure across the Nordics and Europe and involves managing complex tasks. As a key member of the extended AH business management team, you will have a significant role in taking important decisions for the animal health segment.

This position is based in Copenhagen and reporting directly to the Head of Pets AH Nordics.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the Business Unit achieves its business sales objectives.

• Maximize the impact of the team in the field.

• Lead, coach, develop, motivate and act as a role model for team members to ensure optimal individual and team performance.

• Provide high level analysis of potential business opportunities utilizing insights from market research, industry trends, competitive intelligence.

• Monitoring of product pricing, distribution policy and Pet Activation Model in accordance with corporate and local / regional guidelines.

• Monitor the assigned portfolio within the business unit.

• Contributes to the extended AH leadership team of the business unit.

• Aligns resources to ensure the strategic plan is supported and executed successfully.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

• Passion for animals and a genuine interest in promoting their health and well-being.

• Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine.

• At least 5 years of successful sales experience in the animal health industry.

• Excellent knowledge of the animal health industry and market trends and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to the industry.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience within an international (e.g. Nordic) environment.

• Excellent command of the English and native fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian).

• Ability to travel 40-60 days per year (may include overnight travel).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on strong negotiation and presentation skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to work on multiple projects & prioritize effectively.

• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills and having a results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving revenue growth.

• Entrepreneurial drive with proven track record of exceeding quantitative and qualitative goals.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead other team members, by having a combined people-oriented and strategic thinking mindset, to develop and execute sales strategies.
