Minimum/Required Qualifications A bachelor\'s degree in the Earth or Environmental Sciences or a related field. 2 years of experience working with research, education or diversity-related projects in Earth or Environmental Sciences or related fields. Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including familiarity with statistical software. Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity. Excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with software for remote meetings and productivity, including Zoom, Google applications for shared work and scheduling software. Position Duties 40% \' Work with the Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to collect, analyze and interpret data from surveys; produce summaries of survey results for grant reporting, grant proposals, and scholarly communications; make recommendations for improving surveys and related activities; maintain records of participation in events; and related duties as assigned. 20%: Assist in the holistic review process for applications to COLDEX programming, including the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program and professional development workshops. 15%: Monitor and coordinate responses to feedback from COLDEX participants related to DEI issues; make recommendations for improvements related to this feedback 10%: Advise COLDEX leadership and participants in best practices related to inclusive communication. 10%: Investigate potential sources of DEI-related external funding; assist in writing proposals for external funding for COLDEX education, outreach, and DEI initiatives. 5%: Manage the annual COLDEX DEI Award nomination process Full Consideration Date: 5/01/2024 See posting for complete list of duties and qualifications.
