Weyerhaeuser’s Coos Bay Timberlands operation, based out of Coos Bay, OR has an opening for a Grapple Yarder Operator. We are seeking individuals who desire to work in a market-focused logging environment. This is a full-time, hourly position. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the Labor Agreement) include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plans, vacation, and holidays. Rate of pay is $33.805 per hour.

Key Functions:

• Oversee operations and make daily adjustments to maximize productivity as needed
• Safely and competently operate grapple swing yarder to pull logs from cutting area to landing and position logs for processing/loading, on and off road on uneven terrain

• Perform and assist on equipment inspections and fully support and participate in preventative maintenance procedures and routine maintenance repairs as they develop

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience and knowledge in operating a grapple swing yarder and understanding of cable logging systems
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to work safely in both an individual and team environment
• Fulfill all Grapple Yarder Operator duties
• Must have excellent listening and communication skills; ability to demonstrate open, honest, and regular exchange of information, and treat all employees with respect and dignity
