Position Description The Anoka County Parks mission is as a department of Anoka County, our mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. The department has an immediate opening for Seasonal Supervisor, Water Park Operations who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include overseeing water park guest service and maintenance, including admissions and intake, cabana rentals, and cleaning. Ensure guests are compliant with the rules of the facility to keep operations running smoothly and ensure a safe experience. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, on-siteposition. Interviews will take place as applications are received for those selected to move forward in the hiring process. Pay & Benefits Salary: $18.00 to $19.50 per hour. Professional development opportunities. Work Location This position will work at Bunker Beach Water Park, located at 701 County Rd A, Coon Rapids, MN 55448. Expected work hours are varied including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, for 20-40 hours per week. This may include extended hours on weekends and holidays as required. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all-inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of the primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Seasonal Supervisor, Water Park Operations. Oversee water park guest service and maintenance, including admissions and intake, cabana rentals, and cleaning. Ensure guests are compliant with the rules of the facility to keep operations running smoothly and ensure a safe experience. Oversee park concessions and related maintenance, including managing and ordering inventory, coordinating with vendors and distributors, scheduling staff, and maintaining compliance with health codes for food preparation and delivery, and cleaning of concessions equipment and facilities. Take customer orders, accept payments, assemble orders, and deliver food to customers. Oversee water park guest safety and provide direction to lifeguard staff to prioritize workloads, coach/mentor team members, and collaborate and coordinate with leaders and teams throughout Anoka County. Ensure guests have a safe and positive water park experience by welcoming them and exhibiting safe practices while performing lifeguard duties. Recognize and respond to facility emergencies and review and submit first aid reports. Remain knowledgeable about park rules and enforcement policies to assist guests in person and on the phone. Work alongside and provide direction to water park staff to maintain cleanliness of the park, prioritize workloads, coach/mentor team members, and collaborate and coordinate with leaders and teams throughout Anoka County. Manage purchasing, replenishment, and inventory of all materials, supplies, and equipment used to maintain water park. Direct and coordinate continued development of water park during seasonal operation. Maintain expert knowledge of Red Cross and facility safety policies and procedures. Liaise with leadership on any issues related to water park operations and maintenance Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Must be at least 17 years of age or old r Previous customer service or public relations experience. Previous cash handling experience. Hold a Minnesota Food Managers Certificate or be able to obtain. Hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification or be able to obtain. Hold current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Waterpark Skills, and Administering Emergency Oxygen or be able to obtain. Successfully pass criminal history background check. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Previous supervisory experience. Previous janitorial experience. Previous fast-food experience. Physical Demands and Work Conditions Indoor and outdoor county worksites in all weather conditions depending on assignment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades and brightness. Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments require several hours of varied physical activity in addition to viewing a computer screen, sitting at a desk, or walking/standing Physical activity may include repeated bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, prolonged walking on sloped or uneven terrain, and handling/carrying equipment Ability to detect, discern, and tolerate a wide range of scents required for safety and performance of essential duties Cognitive abilities required include problem solving, prioritization of tasks, short- and long-term memory, interpreting and understanding written documents, and general mathematical skills Regular lifting of 0-25 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment in addition to various park maintenance equipment depending on assignment Park maintenance equipment may include but is not limited to hand and power tools, shovels, sledgehammer, post hole diggers, weed whips, ladders, wheelbarrows, various light and heavy equipment, chemicals, personal protective equipment, and weather appropriate gear Driving is required for this position and staff must have the ability to use a variety of mowers, tractors, pickup trucks, UTV's, and boats Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, prolonged vibration from machinery, and other hazards is possible while performing essential duties Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions Selection Process It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess.
