The Deposit Document Specialist is responsible for processing imaging deposit account documentation in a timely manner. This position will also ensure front line staff is gathering all appropriate documentation in compliance with the Customer Identification Program regulations, as well as tracking any exceptions to the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Image new account documentation into bank\'s imaging system. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.\
  2. Ensure all documents are being scanned, and index appropriately. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  3. Image trailing documents on existing accounts into the bank\'s imaging system. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.\
  4. Identify missing account documentation and other exceptions to the Customer Information Program. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.\
  5. Input tracking for all exceptions into bank\'s system. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  6. Identify any missing new account packets and track for exceptions. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  7. Identify tracking exception documents and remove from exceptions. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  8. Monitor and maintain status of outstanding tracking exceptions. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  9. Monitor to ensure proper criteria is met to establish specific products. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  10. Answer phone calls/emails/submitted tickets from branch staff. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.\
  11. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 20% of the time.\
  12. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.\
  13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
