Job Profile Summary
We are seeking a Solution Architecture Team Leader to lead a team of solution architects, and provide consulting services across various IT Services. This position will be full-time and remote.
What You’ll Do
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of solution architects, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the team
Participate in recruiting
Manage staff on-boarding / off-boarding
Solution Design and Architecture:
Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements
Develop comprehensive solution architectures that align with client objectives and industry best practices
Oversee the creation of detailed design documentation, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and integration plans
Client Engagement and Consulting:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert recommendations and strategic insights
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with clients to gather requirements and present solutions
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
Project Management:
Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
Develop Ballpark Estimates to inform decision-making
Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architecture and implementation
Technical Expertise:
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on complex architectural challenges
Drive innovation by exploring new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
Manage policy/security audits of software, platforms, and infrastructure hosted by third parties
Oversee the annual assessment of the health of applications supported by the CAI team
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, infrastructure admins, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership
Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of IT experience
2+ years of supervisory experience leading technical staff
Excellent written and oral communication
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
