The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Traffic, has a full-time vacancy for a Senior Pavement Marking Foreman.
SUMMARY
:
Assist pavement marking supervisor with the management and administration of the pavement marking section. Provide technical support to engineering professionals in the field of pavement marking and supervise one or more pavement marking crews. With advanced knowledge of equipment and techniques, perform technical duties related to the placement and maintenance of pavement markings and other traffic control devices.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or high school equivalency credential
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience as a member of a pavement marking crew, two years must be at the level of a pavement marking crew foreman performing application of longitudinal pavement markings.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A or B) with tank endorsement. Also, must possess Forklift Operator Certification within one year of hire.
Special Requirements:
1.Must possess working knowledge of vehicles, equipment, and materials necessary to perform pavement marking operations.
2.Willing to work with materials (paint/solvent) utilizing safety equipment and procedures during pavement marking operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Performs supervisory duties as the first line supervisor for the Pavement Marking Foreman positions, with responsibility for recommending leave, conducting performance evaluations, and recommending disciplinary action. Provides technical/skilled training and mentoring to pavement marking subordinates.
Establishes work schedules, prioritizes, and coordinates the activities of multiple crews assigned to a project or daily maintenance activities to meet program goals and objectives.
Coordinates and communicates with internal bureau personnel and maintenance districts to establish production priorities to fulfill field crew requirements most effectively.
Prepares work orders and supervises the e
