[The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Family Assistance has a full time vacancy for Medical Eligibility Specialist.

**[SUMMARY:

[Conducts medical eligibility determinations and reviews for Medicaid categorical disability programs within the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Economic Stability, Bureau of Family Assistance, applying internal, State and Federal policies and procedures. The Program Specialist IV develops, reviews, analyzes, and evaluates medical and non-medical technical data for applications for Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled(APTD), Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities(MEAD), Aid to the Needy Blind(ANB), Medicaid of Employed Older Adults with Disabilities (MOAD) and Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HC-CSD); and prepares determinations of entitlement in accordance with Titles II and XVI of the federal Social Security Act. The Disability Examiner is expected to work on a variety of claim types and will receive related training to learn how to adjudicate the various claim types.
