The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Construction has full-time vacancies available for Civil Engineer I, II or III positions.

SUMMARY:

Civil Engineer I

To perform basic engineering duties associated with the construction of civil engineering projects for the Department of Transportations Construction Bureau.

Civil Engineer II

Performs engineering duties associated with the construction of civil engineering projects or functions as a Contract Administrator on basic construction projects for the Department of Transportations Construction Bureau.

Civil Engineer III

To perform a variety of complex engineering duties associated with the construction of civil engineering projects or functions as a Contract Administrator on moderately complex projects for the Department of Transportations Construction Bureau.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS

: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Civil Engineer I

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering.

Experience: No experience required.

OR

Education: Associate's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with a major study in engineering or engineering technology.

Experience: Two (2) years of post-graduate experience in engineering in a position comparable to an Engineering Technician.

License/Certification:

1. Must possess an Engineer-in-Training Certificate issued by the NH Office of Professional Licensure and Certification. (Bachelor's degree applicants not possessing an E.I.T. Certificate may be hired at a one-salary grade reduction.)

2. Must possess a valid driver's license and/or have access to transportation for statewide travel.

3. The applicant's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
