John Tillman, a division of Bunzl, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our office in Compton. The Accounts Payable Clerk will review and process vendor invoices for payment by performing basic accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Data entry and invoice processing related to direct shipments based on sales order and purchase order information, inventory receipt processing, general ledger account coding, and entering of invoice information into Sage X3.

• Code and enter expense invoices and credit memos to the appropriate parties

• Research problem invoices in Sage X3

• Collaborate with vendors and various internal departments for necessary paperwork and approvals needed for processing

• Respond and research inquiries from internal and external calls

• Process ACH, wire, and credit card payments and submit them for review and approval

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

• 2 years’ experience working in an Accounts Payable computerized environment preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and 10-key

• Experience using Sage X3 is strongly preferred

• Speed, accuracy, quality-mindedness, attention to detail, and neatness

• Ability and desire to perform well under pressure

• Problem-solving skills in an Accounts Payable environment and successfully following direction

• Good verbal communication skills and organizational skills

John Tillman Compton, CA salary range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location.
