Summary/Objective:Plan and designs product applications and assemble project teams. Organize highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of engineering products. Duties & Responsibilities:1) Work with management, electrical engineers, drafters, technicians and manufacturing personnel to develop new products. 2) Generate designs of systems, assemblies, and components using 3D CAD. 3) Generate and maintain drawings working with configuration control system.4) Develop sources for system components.5) Perform structural and thermal analysis of designs.6) Support and troubleshoot prototype build.7) Transition new products from prototype to production.8) Design fixtures and assembly aids for production.9) Resolve technical issues that arise in the supply chain. 10) Knowledge of and ability to perform injection molding. 11) Support proposal efforts.Experience Required:10 -15 years of hands on experience developing products and working in a production environmentEducation Required:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred Master's in Mechanical Engineering Skills/Competencies:Customer/Client focus, Technical Capacity, Communication proficiency, Discretion Work Environment:Mainly in an office environment, will conduct testing in Engineering lab, come into contact with electrical and mechanical components.Physical Demands:Ability to bend, sit, stand, operate office equipment, frequently move and/or lift objects of 10 lbs. and on occasion lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
