Description

We are seeking a diligent Bookkeeper on Long Island, New York. The primary focus of this role is to handle various accounting tasks, such as managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash receipts. This position is offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's success.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Process cash receipts and maintain accurate records of transactions

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close to perform duties effectively

Experience with QuickBooks, SAP HANA, NetSuite, or D365 is a plus.

• Perform data entry tasks as required, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, providing accurate and timely information for management

• Engage in the bookkeeping process, maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly

• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly

• Participate in the payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time (preferred but not required)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations and general bookkeeping

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Payroll processes and systems

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP HANA, NetSuite, D365 preferred

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principle
