Rural Resources Community Action Energy Assistance Specialist in Colville, Washington

Rural Resources Community Action is looking for an Energy Assistance Specialist. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits and located at our Colville, WA office. As an Energy Assistance Specialist, you will schedule and conduct assessments for low-income families to determine eligibility for energy assistance services and programs, provide education on energy conservation to clients, and participate in outreach programs that raise awareness of the energy program.

The qualities we are looking for include the ability prepare correspondence / documentation / reports, evaluate client needs, efficiently and accurately collect and file client information, operate modern office technology, machinery, ability to type a minimum of 45-60 wpm, and familiarity with spreadsheets and databases. This individual will also need to have the capability to organize and prioritize work independently with a minimum of supervision, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff and the public using tact, courtesy, and good judgment to provide clear explanations of program policies and procedures, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Salary & Benefit Information

The hiring range for this role is $19.87-$21.49 per hour. The full salary range of $19.87-$33.08 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. As a full or part-time employee, after the successful completion of our six-month training period you may receive a 4% step increase and an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary thereafter (excludes temporary employees). Depending on full time or part time status, other benefits may include medical (three plan options), dental and vision insurance, vacation, a 403(B) and/or Roth IRA retirement savings plan with a company match of up to 6%, $12,000 life insurance policy (while employed with RRCA), Employee Assistance Program and other auxiliary insurance options.  All employees, regardless of temporary, part-time or full-time status will receive sick leave.
