Colmac Coil ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN III in Colville, Washington

Compensation includes medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution, life insurance, employee assistance program, and training opportunities. Regular shifts are Monday -- Friday with overtime as needed.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Understand and apply all electrical safety rules and procedures in performance of job functions
  • Interpret and understand electrical control diagrams, electrical component specifications, and component manufacturer's operating instructions
  • Inspect and provide guidance for Electrical Technician I & II, and other electrical assembly tasks. Must be proficient in all electrical tasks performed by Electrical Technician I & II and/or General Assembly I, II, and III team members.
  • Perform Electrical Technician III duties consisting of, but not limited to:
    • Build control panels to control diagram specifications.
    • Troubleshoot control panel ladder logic and other electrical assemblies.
    • Interpret Parameters and correctly program VFD's and superheat controllers.
    • Train electrical personnel on Electrical Technician I & II tasks.
    • Terminate electrical components to control panel such as: motors, electric defrost rods, heat trace, control sensors, and electric defrost sensors.
    • Maintain Equipment Verification Log data.
    • Perform hipot, ground bond, and final functional tests on all electrical assemblies such as: electric defrost rods circuits, heat trace circuits, motor circuits, final electrical assemblies.
    • Provide guidance of team members for installation of conduit, fittings, and pulling of wires in conduit.
  • Assist with production on projects of various electrical controls complexity.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Unqualified Electrical Worker, Qualified Electrical Worker, Electrical Best Practices, and Electrical Safety Testing
  • UL508A, NEC, NFPA 70E training as necessary
  • Critical Thinking --- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Problem Solving --- Work through details of a problem to reach a solution.
  • Decision Making --- Weigh the positives and negatives of each option and consider all the alternatives.
