Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SEO Strategist to join our Marketing Team! In this role, you will take charge of developing and executing SEO strategies with the goal of increasing organic website traffic and enhancing conversion rates across our web properties and campaigns. You will conduct keyword research and tee up potential content opportunities to make gains in valuable search rankings. You will work with agency and platform partners to build an ecosystem that will make incremental progress over time and set us up for future success. You will modify the organic search strategy based on changes in the business and in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate in the creation, implementation, and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies and roadmaps based on marketing objectives. Support day-to-day administration of search engine optimization (SEO) activities, including campaign management and strategic development of new content published on branded website properties and landing pages. Act as a subject matter expert in SEO, staying updated on the latest best practices and trends in organic search engine optimization. Manage agency and platform partners in alignment with business goals. Regularly perform thorough keyword research to identify and target new keywords and enhance rankings across search engines (Google, Bing, etc.). Assist in creating compelling SEO content for websites. Provide recommendations for optimizing website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO. Audit paid search performance and identify opportunities to optimize budget and maximize ROI through search and other digital tactics. Define and measure against organic traffic KPIs, reporting out regularly. Research web page design and technical requirements to optimize site speed performance and ensure Google Ads landing pages meet quality score standards - addressing as needed with our development team. Develop and implement effective link building strategies for SEO. Analyze website and Google Ads campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed, and conducting regular competitive research on top-performing pages and ad creatives. Assist with other Marketing projects as needed. Minimum Job Qualifications: BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, analytics, or a related field (preferred). Business Experience: 3+ years of experience as SEO Specialist or in a similar role. Agency Experience is a plus. Hands-on experience planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy. Strong time management skills, including effective task prioritization and project management. Flexibility and adaptive skills related to multiple projects. Eye for design and attention to detail. A self-starter, with the ability to work independently, handle challenges with a positive attitude, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to think strategically, handle multiple tasks, and excellent communication skills for both in-person and remote collaboration. Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Experience with SEO-related technology platforms, such as BrightEdge. Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and guidelines. Experience with web analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Basic knowledge of web content management systems (CMS); with Contentful experience preferred. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to craft engaging content for SEO. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
