ManpowerGroup Oracle Database Administrator in Columbus, Ohio
Our client in the technology industry is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join their team. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be part of the IT organization supporting data products that provide decision support for business and customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with Safe, LeSS, or Modern Agile methodologies, the ability to work in the context of waterfall IT controls, and familiarity with InfoSec control levels, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Columbus, OH, Dallas, TX, or Broken Arrow, OK (Open to Remote)
Pay Range: $80-90 per hour
What's the Job?
Deploy, configure, patch and upgrade database servers and client installs, with a focus of Oracle server production support
Troubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
Perform preventive maintenance and system copies
Automate system maintenance tasks
Develop, manage and test backup and recovery plans
What's Needed?
5-6+ years of experience building and administering production level high performance, high transaction volume, and highly available OLTP databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
5-6+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and implementing logical and physical data models and PL/SQL or T-SQL solutions in support of complex software development projects
5-6+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale ETL processes, including data initialization, loading, and conversion
3+ years of experience conducting performance monitoring and tuning operations
3+ years of experience administering database security protocols
Knowledge of current DBMS products, primarily Oracle 11g and 12c and SQL Server 2014+, as well as knowledge of related technologies, applications, and processes
Ability to write clear, concise, efficient, and effective DDL, DML, and PL/SQL or T-SQL
Knowledge of relational database internals, objects, and processes, as well as best practice principles regarding availability, performance, and security
Experience working with high availability tools, particularly DataGuard or AlwaysOn
Experience Installing OEM and configure to monitor Oracle instances
Experience writing shell scripts to automate Database activities
Demonstrated skill using database backup and recovery models, utilities, and best practices
Familiar with Agile development methodology
