  Job Description

• The Heavy Equipment/Generator Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and generators. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and quality, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards.

  Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment and generators.

• Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and part replacements to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to execute repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor hours, parts used, and equipment history.

  Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or related fields preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment and generator repair and maintenance.

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Knowledge of diesel engines and generator functions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license and, preferably, a CDL.
