Custom design and machine manufacturing company located in Westerville, OH is currently looking for a Engineering Manager to join their team. Company provides high quality machinery to the food/dairy industry and specializes in packing/filling equipment. JOB DUTIES: The position of Engineering Manager focuses on providing direction and support to a team of twelve engineers and designers. Responsibilities include team goal setting, technical and design leadership, budgeting, scheduling, employee training and development, communicating effectively with Sales and Manufacturing, developing department infrastructure and standards, and overseeing the production of outstanding technical documentation. Reports to Operations Manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUSTS: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering • Experience in the design of industrial equipment such as conveyors, packaging equipment, or food processing machinery • Five or more years of management experience with emphasis on employee development • Experience with automation controls using PLC’s, HMI’s, servos, VFD’s as well as pneumatics • Experience with design, fabrication and troubleshooting of high-speed machinery. • Experience using 3D CAD and DFMA PLUS: • Industrial Food Processing Automation experience, dairy industry strongly • Knowledge of sanitary design principles as well as common standards and codes (IEEE, ANSI, NSF, USDA). • Management of third-party resources (technical consultants, contractors, etc.)
