JPMorgan Chase Consumer Bank Customer Analytics Data Scientist Lead in Columbus, Ohio

As a Consumer Bank Customer Data Scientist within our dynamic team, you will be responsible for integrating data and analytics talent across the organization using a range of Data & Analytics disciplines, such as data governance, data strategy/partnerships, reporting, data science, and machine learning. You will work closely with our technology partners, utilizing the advanced data and analytics infrastructure they have developed to ensure impactful results through transformational projects across sales and marketing. Serving nearly half of America's households with a wide array of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans, and payment processing, our firm places a strong emphasis on digital banking, financial fitness, innovation, leadership, analytics, and strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop an impactful analytic roadmap, going deep on specific analyses with support from our team of data scientists, and helping lead the transformation of the business by implementing major cross-functional initiatives

  • Work on customer segmentation, attrition mitigation, forecasting the evolution of customer channel usage, and identifying key competitive risks and opportunities by analyzing funds.

  • Design strategy to define and drive our analytic agenda, finding and prioritizing the most impactful opportunities to improve our business and customer experience and working analytically with our team of data scientists to develop comprehensive analytic plans and execute on analytic projects and to create cross-functional partners and work to establish new operating models, establish new solutions

  • Drive organizational change and Data innovation to find, screen, and work with external vendors who can provide data we do not have access to internally to improve our analytic capabilities - including piloting and developing proofs of concept.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 6+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, or similar skillset

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and at least one of the following analytical tools such as Python

  • Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation such as Tableau

  • Passion for problem-solving. Must be able to think outside the box to implement creative solutions that solve business problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to turn complex data into concise client-friendly findings and recommendations

  • Self-starter who works independently and has the motor to drive change across the organization

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage projects. Can stay organized and deliver at a high level while juggling a large book of work

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience working with analytics, preferably in financial services
