Huntington National Bank Compliance Analyst - Merchant in Columbus, Ohio

Description

Summary:

Responsible for ensuring Card Brand compliance, in order to control company exposure, and compliance with regulations as well as internal governance and policies, by reviewing and enforcing Card Network Program compliance standards, as well as building out appropriate processes to mitigate risks, including Payment Card Industry (PCI) at Independent Sales Office (ISO) for the Merchant business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, track, and report on Card Network updates by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information.

  • Provide initial interpretation of Card Network updates to management as necessary to include impacts to other departments.

  • Ensure on-boarding, ongoing monitoring and annual due diligence comply with the latest Card Brand rules, policies and programs and propose solutions to mitigate any identified shortcomings.

  • Maintain open communication with Processor and Card Networks and act as the primary contact with the Card Brands for all card compliance matters including registration of third parties and merchants with Card Brand programs.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing Card Network publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Assist with gathering and providing requested information for Account Data Compromises (ADC) and Common Point of Purchase (CPP).

  • Manage to KPI’s to ensure productivity and cost effectiveness.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a compliance or risk analyst role, in financial services or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PRP, CAMS, or CRCM Certification

  • Prior experience in a payments business, operating in a regulated financial institution regime, including direct and sponsored merchant acquiring as well as ISO’s and PayFac’s.

  • Prior experience with vendors and service providers, such as Payment Processors, Gateways and vendors supporting regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to analyze the impact of third parties on the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-money laundering (BSA/AML), Office of Foreign Access Control (OFAC) as well as all other regulatory and Card Brand Risk to the bank.

  • Must know or have worked with Visa, and MasterCard rules.

  • Familiar with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), VISA CISP, and MasterCard SDP programs.

  • Have knowledge of back-end and front-end processing systems.

  • Be an expert in PCI rules, Surcharging, Card Brand Chargeback programs.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong personal resilience with the ability to operate in a pressured and fast paced environment.

  • Superior written and verbal communication, customer service and time management skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of various software programs including Word and Excel, Salesforce, and the ability to quickly learn additional systems/software, and an emphasis on report creation and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of First Data/Fiserv systems.

  • Experience with process management/auditing, regulatory governance or compliance, or risk management and mitigation.
