M/I Homes Business Systems Analyst III - Microsoft D365 CRM in Columbus, Ohio

The Business Systems Analyst III will be part of the Information Systems Team supporting the homebuilding business. The role is responsible for assisting in the CRM implementation to D365 which will include the setup and conversion to the Microsoft Dynamics platform. The BSA III will act as a liaison between the BSA team, development team, and business users. Daily activities will focus on working with the Project Managers on design, configuration, requirements, and testing activities required to support our new D365 CRM system. Light support of existing CRM may be required. Post implementation activities will include the ongoing support and maintenance of our D365 platform, ongoing training, and daily support for our 17 business locations.

Work will be initially performed at the M/I Homes Corporate office location or from the Tampa Division Office location. Other work locations, such as Division offices, may be designated as travel is required. Work from home options will be reviewed with the hiring manager once initial CRM implementation has been completed. WFH is not guaranteed. Ability to attend onsite meetings is a requirement for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary point person for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM for Homebuilding.

  • Will assist the CRM Team (BSA’s, DBA’s, Developers, Consultants, etc) in guiding the effort to convert existing CRM to Dynamics 365 CRM by analyzing, collecting and prioritizing business requirements, and proposing design solutions aligned with organization goals. Must be able to work in conjunction with other BSA’s supporting the existing CRM solution.

  • Ability to assist in the management of project timelines.

  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

  • Proven testing and quality assurance skills are required. Ability to develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and documentation of testing results is

  • Familiarity with Change Management processes.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

  • Provides phone, Teams, Email, and ticketing system support to all divisions for Homebuilding Sales.

  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical CRM problems. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution through the Information Systems ticketing system.

  • May conduct training classes covering D365 CRM functionality and associated integrated systems such as Outlook.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and efficiency.

  • Performs all other duties as required. In addition, based on experience, may take on additional management functions as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Typical work schedule Monday – Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ET

  • Must be willing to work initially onsite then possibly hybrid work schedule.

  • After hours and some weekend work required.

  • Travel required approximately 25 – 30% of time.

Requirements

Minimum Education Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; Business Analysis Certification such as CBAP, AAC, IIBA; 3 – 5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365; Certifications in D365 Business Central, Customer Service, and/or Field Service is recommended; 5+ years of Homebuilding experience is strongly encouraged. Experience with HomebuilderOne may be beneficial in lieu of other education or skills.

Skills and Abilities:

Technical proficiency with D365 modules. Knowledge of general computer applications including Microsoft D365, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Power BI, SharePoint365, Sales, and Homebuilding. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems/issues. Working within a team environment is essential. Detail oriented with excellent customer service skills. Prior Leadership skills are also a plus for this position. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
