Reporting to the VP, Data Systems and Democratization, this role will entail hands-on building and maintenance of reusable datasets combined with stakeholder interaction across multiple groups. As part of a growing and fast-paced team, ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Responsibilities - Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications. - Act as a functional expert in relevant business domains, providing insights and guidance on best practices. - Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to design, develop, and maintain reusable datasets. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various systems and datasets. - Conduct regular reviews and updates of datasets to align with evolving business needs and standards. - Create detailed documentation of data definitions, structures, and usage guidelines. - Ensure proper documentation of data assets for the data catalog, facilitating easy discovery and usage by stakeholders. - Train and support end-users on the effective utilization of datasets and related tools. - Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decision-making. - Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data and functional expertise. - Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data management principles. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Preferably Azure / Databricks / Snowflake). - Experience in creating and managing data assets in the cloud environment.- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, etc. We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
